A Full Recovery

On Feb. 15, Jr. Dylan Falck, suffered a severe injury regarding his C3 vertebrae. Falck was wrestling when he was thrown down by his opponent and ended up being knocked unconscious. Falck was later sent to the hospital and discovered he had fractured his C3 vertebrae. The injury landed him in a neck brace for 7 weeks and had to wear it every day. Almost a year after his injury Falck is back on the matts. During Falck’s most recent match at Fort Madison he earned first place and was announced ‘Champion’ at the meet.                “I was a little scared to start wrestling again.” He said, “After a month or two I was back out their doing my thing without even thinking of my injury.” Falck said. Synthesis and Reflection

Media Law A new concept for me would be learning what libel and slander was. I always knew slander as "gossiping" and never imagined it as an actual thing people have to look out for. I have already noticed changes in what I'm hearing and figuring out what's slander and what's not. For example Dec. 4, 2018 a rumor went around the school that we were going to have to make a non snow day up. Well later I found out somebody had just made that up and was spreading fake news . I didn't think of it as gossiping anymore, I thought of slander. Libel was different, I always thought of libel as "fake news" and figured they were the same thing. Now I'm aware that a lot of things can be fake news not just written things. Libel is a little more tricky to find because you actually have to search for it.
